My name is Cecil Yvonne Turner ( my first name is courtesy of Daddy), and I have written
a children's book, A Land of Multipliers in honor of my late granddaughter, Nicole. it is the story of kids and their sometimes overwhelming fear of math. Hopefully the book will encourage
the itty bitties to welcome numbers into their lives.
A very public Thank You to Kim Reagor and her welcoming first grade class. She read the book to a wonderful group of kids and they loved it! This was very exciting to me because it was the first time anybody under 4' had heard it...they wrote me letters and drew pictures. What an inspiration! My young friend, Zoe is currently reading the book and reporting to me as she goes. She is 10, but has the understanding of someone much older. I will welcome her ideas and thoughts about the story.
This introduces Andrew, (Nicole's brother in real life), in the book he is NiAn's friend.
The twins, Becky and Jenny are shown on the illustrations page. They too, occupy a big place in NiAn's life and in another adventure, A Land of Relativity, which explores Dr. Einstein's ideas.
